This is by far the most popular boat cruise for our guests.
Maithon is a private island off southern Phuket coast. This area is gorgeous, has very clear waters and the snorkelling is good.
There is a pod of around 22 Dolphins which can be seen on this boat cruise about 80% of the time.
We sail first to the Kai islands in the morning and then cruise south to Maithon Island where the crew will anchor, and prepare your lunch, while you play with all the boat water “toys” like the floating jacuzzi, hammocks and enjoy snorkeling.
Maithon waters are great for snorkeling, as they are crystal clear with many tropical fish.
In the afternoon, the boat can call in to Rang Yai islands, where you can play with all the boat “toys” and swim to the beach.
Koh Rang Yai is a small uninhabited island about 5km off the east coast of Phuket, which has a fabulous long white sand beach on the west with views back to the mainland. Though there is virtually no develpment on the island, there are several local beach restaurants set in the shade of the trees. The beach is idyllic with overhanging trees giving plenty of shade. There is a smaller beach on the western side of the island and you can walk through the coconut groves to reach it. At the centre of the main beach is the pearl farm and shop.. Here you can see the various stages of pearl production. The forested interior has some good trails for hiking. You can rent mountain bikes for a ride along the trails around the island. There is also some reasonable snorkeling around the rocky headlands. The water on the east side of the island is not always so clear, but the beach is lovely for swimming. You can sit in the shade of the coconut trees, and take a refreshing dip in the sea, or relax in our floating Jacuzzis.
There is a possibility of calling in at the tiny island of Koh Phae too if it is low tide.
Ko Phae is a tiny rocky island out on its own in the middle of the Andaman Sea, with a wonderful surprise of a beautiful sand bar which appears miraculously at low tide. Usually deserted, this is a lovely place to anchor off in one of our boats if the timing of your day cruise fits in with a low tide.
