Maya Bay’s beach, closed last year (2018) to allow coral restoration and beach recovery, could remain closed to visitors for many years. Maya Bay is located in the Phi Phi Islands between Krabi and Phuket. The famous Koh Phi Phi Ley beach needs time for its ecology to fully recover years of tourist abuse, this according to the Phi Phi National park chief Vorapot Lomlim as reported in Khaosod English.“Maya Bay must continue to be closed until nature has fully recovered. We expect it will take four to five years.”
Loh Sama Bay

As Poda Island is one of Krabi’s main tourist attractions; it can get somewhat busy.
More so during the high season when day trips and tour groups arrive for lunch after spending the morning island hopping and snorkeling around these beautiful offshore islands.
The best spot for swimming and snorkeling on Koh Poda is either at the northern tip of the Island in front of the towering limestone islet that sits just offshore or along the eastern facing beach.
Other activities available at Poda Island include kayaking.

Racha Yai island is best known as excellent diving and snorkelling daytrip destinations. It is located 12 km south of Phuket. Racha Yai is a granite island with beautiful
beaches and bays all around and dense tropical jungle covering the interior. There are several dive sites at Racha Yai. Most of those sites are suitable for all levels of diver and Racha Yai is often the location for student divers first open water dives. Visibility is always good and currents mild.
Racha Yai Island
Racha Noi island is Racha Yai’s smaller twin located about 40 minutes boat ride further south of Racha Yai island. The diving at Racha Noi is far superior to Racha Yai, it is arguably the best of the local Phuket dive sites. Racha Noi is a long thin granite island covered in dense jungle and is uninhabited. There is a range of diving here for experienced and inexperienced divers. Plus some excellent snorkeling opportunities.
This is by far the most popular boat cruise for our guests.
Maithon is a private island off southern Phuket coast. This area is gorgeous, has very clear waters and the snorkelling is good.
There is a pod of around 22 Dolphins which can be seen on this boat cruise about 80% of the time.
It is a perfect place to put up our slide from the top deck, and inflate the floating jacuzzi and slide because the waters are so clear.
Maithon is a private island off southern Phuket. We highly recommend this cruise because it is such a beautiful area with crystal clear water and a pod of more than 20 dolphins. Baby dolphins spotted recently!
We sail first to the Kai islands in the morning and then cruise south to Maithon Island where the crew will anchor, and prepare your lunch, while you play with all the boat water “toys” like the floating jacuzzi, water bike, hammocks and enjoy snorkeling.
Maithon waters are great for snorkeling, as they are crystal clear with many tropical fish.
In the afternoon, the boat can call in to Rang Yai islands, where you can play with all the boat “toys” and swim to the beach.
Koh Rang Yai is a small uninhabited island about 5km off the east coast of Phuket, which has a fabulous long white sand beach on the west with views back to the mainland. Though there is virtually no develpment on the island, there are several local beach restaurants set in the shade of the trees. The beach is idyllic with overhanging trees giving plenty of shade. There is a smaller beach on the western side of the island and you can walk through the coconut groves to reach it. At the centre of the main beach is the pearl farm and shop.. Here you can see the various stages of pearl production. The forested interior has some good trails for hiking. You can rent mountain bikes for a ride along the trails around the island. There is also some reasonable snorkeling around the rocky headlands. The water on the east side of the island is not always so clear, but the beach is lovely for swimming. You can sit in the shade of the coconut trees, and take a refreshing dip in the sea, or relax in our floating Jacuzzis.
There is a possibility of calling in at the tiny island of Koh Phae too if it is low tide.
Ko Phae is a tiny rocky island out on its own in the middle of the Andaman Sea, with a wonderful surprise of a beautiful sand bar which appears miraculously at low tide. Usually deserted, this is a lovely place to anchor off in one of our boats if the timing of your day cruise fits in with a low tide.
