Phang Nga Bay Sunset Cruise

Come enjoy the newest Simba Sea Trips experience onboard our Phang Nga Bay Sunset Cruise. Different to our other tours, the Sunset Cruise Phuket affords our guests extra time soaking in all the afternoon wonders that Phang Nga Bay has to offer along the way. A Phuket Sunset tour in Phang Nga Bay is simply breathtaking as the abundance of rock formations are lit up with the setting sun and are for ever-changing with the light. As this tour departs, when most tour companies are on their way back, you will find that you will have Phang Nga Bay to yourself to sit back and enjoy the sunset in peace and quiet whilst cruising aboard our luxury cruise boat. It doesn’t get much better than that!

The sensational Phang Nga Bay

Renowned for its majestic limestone cliffs, heavenly isles, and glorious mangrove forests, Phang Nga Bay is a coveted Thai tourist destination with a scenic backdrop that resembles that found in the ‘Avatar’ movie.

While the driving distance from Phuket to the Phang Nga Bay islands exceeds 120 kms, journeying to this glorious region by boat requires traveling a much smaller distance of approximately 40 kms. Not only does a Phang Nga Bay Sunset Tour Phuket get you there quicker, but it also gets you there during the glorious late afternoon hours. This ensures that you can immerse yourself in the magnificent surrounds of the region in the absence of sizeable crowds. The ideal tour is one that is both enjoyable and relaxing. No one enjoys paying for island tours and getting stuck fighting for space on the sand. That is why we are committed to providing a high-quality, personable and relaxed experience for everyone that joins us for one of our Phang Nga Bay Sunset Cruise Phuket tours.

Itinerary

Stop 1Koh Phanak

First stop is Koh Phanak for sightseeing and cave exploring. Here we will don the hard hats and grab a torch, looking out for the wild monkeys and bats while on our way into the caves. The cave can seem a little daunting but not far from the entrance you will see the end of the cave that opens into a magical hidden room. Marvel at the mudskippers and take in the wonders of the soaring cliffs. On our return, a refreshing afternoon tea will be waiting for us on the boat.

Stop 2Koh Panyee Island

The village on stilts, originally a settlement by nomadic Malay fisherman 200 years ago. During our Sunset Cruise Phuket we cruise slowly past this floating village whilst the locals are ending their day. You will experience the sights of the children who have just finished school, heading back to their floating houses. You may even catch a glimpse of a game of football being played on the floating football pitch. It is a great opportunity to take in the sights and gain an insight into this fascinating community.

Stop 3Mangroves Waterways Cruise

Here we explore the amazing ecosystem and hidden canals of the mangroves. These long, narrow canals wind their way to a secret cave where we can take the boat through and explore in greater depth

Stop 4Koh Phing Kan and Koh Tapu/James Bond Island

We do stop our speedboats during the Sunset Tour Phuket on this iconic island – guests tell us they have come a long way, so why would they not want to go ashore? As we arrive here in the late afternoon once the masses of tourists have left, you are able to take excellent photos in ideal lighting. It is also a geological wonder as you will discover. With its tall limestone karsts, this natural marvel is the perfect spot for you to take that iconic photo.

Day 5Lake Geneva and Château de Chillon

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
